SEVENTY TWO YEARS LATER; HE'S STILL COMING BACK

When I was a boy of just eight years, I can remember our Pastor saying, Jesus is coming back, and maybe before morning! Those words would almost make me paranoid. Being a child I understood absolutely nothing about the Word of God with the exception of a few scriptures such as John 3:16 and knew nothing of what they meant. Statements such as these from Pastors and preachers would scare the wits out of me. God surely had His hand on me at a very early age. At the age of 13 or 14 (maybe I mentioned this before in another article) I would wake up early in the morning, maybe 2:00 or 3:00 AM and get down on my knees and beg, cry and plead with God to fill me with His Holy Spirit before He came back for His church. I was afraid that Jesus was going to come back before He filled me with the Holy Ghost. I would to God that all teenagers had that fear of His coming back, so that they could make preparation for it. Anyway, we are more than a half century closer to His coming than we were then. As a matter of fact, we are living right in the closing days of the gentile dispensation and His imminent coming.
During that time there have been signs and wonders, wars and rumors of wars, but as Jesus said, the end is not yet. Also during that time, I have been studying and searching, hiding the Word in my heart as David did……and do I know it all? Not by far! And anyone that would lead you to think that he or she has all the answers are only fooling themselves. This is a body ministry and everyone that’s ordained of God has something to contribute to it. The things that I write are not my own thoughts….. They are given by the Holy Ghost. I Cor. 2:14 says, But the natural man receiveth not the things of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. They come to me as the Lord reveals them.
If you are not spiritually blind, you can follow the world news and see how that the Word of God is fulfilling. However, Jesus said, there were those that have eyes to see and see not, and ears to hear and hear not.
I began to watch as God used our own President Obama to take out the various dictators and turn these countries over to the Muslims in pretense of setting up Democracy. Be it known to you, these people are not Democratic people They are dedicated to the laws of Islam. These so called democratic countries, set poised to strike at Israel just as soon as they become organized under Islamic law.
Joel prophesied (Joel 3:2) that their intent was to part His land and President Obama has insisted that Israel move back to their 1967 borders. Saints of God, this makes America responsible for that remark (that is those who voted for our present President) and you can well expect God to unleash His fury on America unless our Government changes their mind and it doesn’t seem likely to happen. Zechariah prophesied of this mass destruction (Zechariah 13: 8&9):
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: and they shall call on my Name, and I will hear them: I will say, it is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
But before this happens, there will be a peace covenant made for three and a half years with Israel. And immediately after the peace covenant is broken, then will come to pass these two previous scriptures. The devil himself, will unleash every devilish device against Israel. The church too, will be going through some pretty strong persecution. This is the message that the church is not hearing. What they are hearing is they are going to be caught up out of the tribulation and shouting on the hillsides of Glory while all of this is taking place. This message is based on Rev 4:1 where John the Revelator heard a voice as it were a trumpet saying come up here and I will show you things to come. Since the church isn’t mentioned after that, it is assumed she is caught up with the Lord in the air. If you study this closely, this is a message given to John the Revelator and guess who it’s for? The Church! He is beckoned to come through the open door to be shown things to come. Actually, the book of Revelation is written to the church or I should say, to all of God’s people, both Jew and Gentile. Paul declares that Jesus Christ will make both Jew and Gentile, into one new man. This doctrine of being caught up, before the tribulation, is setting up millions of Christians for the falling away that Paul describes just before the man of sin is revealed. How will this happen? Because when the mark of the beast is introduced, these Christians that thought they would be caught away by then, will fall away. They will have been so caught up in that doctrine that they will not have power to stand. Most Christians are caught up in this thing of how much God wants you to have. Materialistic, the things of this world, and Jesus said that where a man’s treasures are, there will his heart be also. The Word says in Luke 21:35, as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Also read verses 34 & 36. Take heed loved ones.
Jesus said, many would come in His Name saying that He is Christ, and would deceive many. Don’t get mad at me. I’m not the one that said it …..Jesus said it. I just quoted it.
II Thes 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means; Rev 3:11, John the Revelator said, Hold fast that thou hast, that no man steal thy crown. YOUR CROWN! Your very eternal destination is at stake. I heard an International minister say recently, when someone called in on the phone and asked about the last trumpet. His answer was that when the church was caught away before the tribulation, that that would be the last trumpet for the gentiles. Boy, would I like to see that scripture. Deception is everywhere. Read the Word of God and get it hid in your heart as David did, that you might not sin against God. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof, are the ways of death. Too many people are taking the word of their pastors or preachers rather than searching the Word of God.
Saints, it’s time to be taking inventory of our hearts and making sure we are laying up our treasures in Heaven and not in some local bank. Whatever the things are that you love, your heart will be in them also. Jesus said; ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Jesus is the truth. If you are seeking His Kingdom and His Righteousness, it won’t be long until you will know whether or not you are being deceived. Men are teaching today that there are other ways to get to Heaven other than through our Lord Jesus. But Jesus said, I am the door of the sheepfold; if any climb up any other way, the same is a thief and a robber. Jesus indicated that there is another way, (there is a way that seemeth right unto a man) but it is not the way. John 10:1.
We are coming into one world government. It is being talked about every day on the world news. One would have to be spiritually blind not to know what is happening. Here’s the message that the Apostles preached; You certainly don’t hear much about their message.
I Peter 2:18, Servants be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward:
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
This kind of suffering has happened many times in the flesh. I for one have been put through some of this type of suffering but this is not resisting unto blood. There is a stronger kind of persecution that I believe all of God’s people need to prepare themselves for. Read on.
Peter spoke of some things that he had already been through, saying;
I Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
I am no man’s judge but I wonder how many people, persecution would not trouble? How many out there, have an ear to hear, or, are concerned enough to search these things out?
15, But sanctify the Lord in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh for a reason of the hope that is within you, with meekness and fear.
I Peter 4:1, For as much then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves like-wise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.
4:12, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
4:13, But rejoice inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His Glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Someone said, you don’t know what I’m going through where I work, they make all manner of fun of me and some even call me a Holy Roller. Is that really suffering with Him, or for Him?
Hebrews 12:4, Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And until you have, you haven’t suffered.
John 15:20 Jesus said, Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. (did they persecute Him?)
15:21, But all these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not Him that sent Me. Wait until they tell you that the things you are doing are of the devil. They told Jesus that He cast out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of Devils. They said He blasphemed because He made Himself equal with God. When He told them, before Abraham was, I AM, they sought to throw Him off the brow of a hill. And you think you’ve suffered? And this is not coming from the world, its coming from the church world.
They sought to kill Paul early on in his conversion. This is what Paul had to say about suffering;
I Timothy 4:10, For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11, These things command and teach.
How many of these things do you hear commanded, or taught?
II Timothy 2:12, If we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him: If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
This is not a popular message because nobody wants to suffer. And it may never fall your lot. You may go by way of the grave, however, Paul said, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
8:17, And if children, then heirs; heirs of God; and joint heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.
For some strange reason, we are not hearing this message.
Philippians 1:29, For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake. (Give this scripture some serious thought.)
I Thessalonians 3:4, For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass and ye know. And right now as I write this, the clouds of persecution are gathering not only in other parts of the world but over America also. Where are you hearing that you may have to suffer tribulation? That’s not the message in most churches. I am not coming down on any certain church but most have a feel good message prepared for you Sunday morning and as long as you attend and pay your tithes, you are considered a member in good standing. Saints these things are necessary but they will not get you into the Kingdom. You must seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and study to show yourself approved of God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of God. Then you will not be easily deceived. A good way to do this, is to turn off your favorite TV show and open the Word of God and study it prayerfully, putting God first in all things.
II Thessalonians, 1:4, So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
1:5, Which is a manifest token of the Righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the Kigdom of God, for which ye also suffer. (Read this again.)
II Timothy 3:12, Yea, and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (Take particular note of this scripture)
3:13, But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
If this message makes you fearful, that’s not the intent. I want to warn you that these things are coming upon the world faster than you may imagine.
II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Luke, 21:36 Jesus said this, Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
And to escape, is not being caught up but rather to escape the snare that is coming upon the whole world. And even though it’s going to be a time such as never has been, nor will ever be again, God is able to deliver you out of it. A preacher once said to me, Brother Hicks, do you think God would let His beautiful bride be battered? Well, were Peter and Paul, James and John part of His beautiful bride? Paul wrote this to the Romans, 5:3, And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4, And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5, And hope maketh not ashamed; because the Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
The disciples counted it all joy that they might suffer for this glorious gospel.
It’s true that our country has come through 200 years of peace for the Christian person and the cause of the gospel, that is excluding a few wars that have been fought for our freedom of worship and to be a free people but there is looming upon the horizon the clouds of suffering such as has never been known to mankind. This will be a world wide thing. We are in the preparation stage, get your heart prepared!
In closing, Peter spoke of an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in Heaven for you. OH Hallelujah!! It will be worth waiting for at any cost. Maybe you need to draw closer to God or possibly you may need a refilling of the Holy Ghost which is the keeper of the soul.
Pray as you’ve never prayed before. Keep a prayer in your heart constantly. I’ve pondered these things in my heart for the last seventy two years and praise His Holy Name, Jesus is still coming back. Doesn’t it thrill you to know that?
